Step 6: Validate the final design performance
- Working Model FEA is used to verify the final design. (A new mesh was
created when Working Model Shape automatically updated the design in the
last step.) The results from this simulation are shown in Figure 6.

The maximum stress is about 61 ksi. Though this is higher than the constraint,
it is less than the material allowable. Working Model Shape could be used
to design fillets that would remove stress concentrations and further fine-tune
the design.
