Step 3: Define the parametric geometry model
Using the ideas provided by Working Model Concept, a new part was created in the CAD system, as shown in Figure 4. Figure 5 shows the new geometry overlaid with the mesh from Working Model Concept . This helps verify the new geometry is similar to the ideas provided by Working Model Concept.

Working Model Concept may be used to explore different concept ideas. By changing the input parameters, a different concept will be obtained. An example of another concept is shown in Figure 6. Dimensions were created to alter key points of the design, such as thickness and member widths. This concept will be used for the remainder of this tutorial.
